The Labour Party’s shadow work and pensions secretary, Debbie Abrahams, has been forced to leave her role over allegations reportedly related to claims over her behaviour.
A Labour party spokesperson said: “Debbie Abrahams has been stood down from her frontbench role while the Labour Party investigates an employment issue.”
The spokesperson added: “Margaret Greenwood will act as shadow secretary of state for work and pensions during this period.”
Abrahams has denied the allegations, and has launched a formal complaint to the Labour party and parliamentary authorities over her treatment, according to the Telegraph.
