L&G announces leadership appointments
Legal & General has announced several leadership appointments.
Carl Moxley has been appointed group climate director. In his new role, Moxley will be responsible for leading and executing L&G’s climate strategy, including nature and biodiversity, setting and meeting targets, reporting and governance across the group. Before he took on his new role, Moxley was chief financial officer of Legal and General Retirement Institutional (LGRI).
Moxley said: “Climate change is a systemic issue impacting us all and is increasingly influencing both the economies and societies across the world. It is exciting to have an opportunity to be able to lead and work across the wider business to position us most effectively to execute our climate strategy and deliver our transition plan for society and our shareholders.”
Nimol Rajkumar succeeds Moxley as chief financial officer of LGRI, the pension risk transfer division of L&G. Having joined the company in 2013, Rajkumar has held several senior roles. In his new position, he will set the strategic financial plan for LGRI.

Sally Clayton will take over from Nimol as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for Legal & General Retail. Sally has worked in financial services for almost 30 years and joined Legal & General in 2011, having worked for firms including Friends Provident, Skandia Life and AXA Wealth.

ZEDRA hires Heather Meighan
Heather Meighan is joining ZEDRA as its new head of commercial – pensions & incentives. Meighan joins from Hymans Robertson.

Richard Sweetman joins Broadstone’s employee benefits consulting team
Richard Sweetman has joined consultancy Broadstone as a senior consultant in its employee benefits consulting team, which is led by Damon Hopkins.
Sweetman has worked for Mercer and Willis Towers Watson, advising clients on DC pensions, employee benefits and financial wellbeing.
Sweetman commented: “It’s an exciting time to join Broadstone as we deliver our ambitious growth plans and bring something new to the EBC consulting market.”
Ramsaran joins DWF
Liz Ramsaran has joined DWF, a provider of integrated legal and business services, as its fourth pensions partner.
Ramsaran will advise her clients on all aspects of pensions law. She joins from PwC, where she established a national ESG business and worked on pension risk transfer solutions.
