The latest hires, promotions and appointments for the week ending 4 April 2025.
Experienced trustee Vicky Paramour has joined the board of The People’s Pension.
Paramour has trustee positions at Lloyds Banking Group, where she chairs the investment and funding committee, and the Church of England Pensions Board, where she chairs the pensions committee.
The appointment brings The People’s Pension’s trustee board to seven members.

New bulk annuity leader at Canada Life
Canada Life has appointed Shreyas Sridhar as its new managing director of bulk annuities. He will join the insurer’s UK executive committee.
Shreyas joined the firm in February last year as business development director. Prior to this he worked for Legal & General for eight years in its risk transfer business, latterly as head of reinsurance and international development.
He succeeds Tim Coulson, who will continue to work with Canada Life in an advisory capacity before retiring at the end of 2025, the company said. Coulson joined Canada Life in 2023 to boost its bulk annuities business.
LCP names nine new partners
Consultancy group LCP has appointed nine people as partners.
They are: Dev Gandhi, Drew Henley-Lock, Phil Daley and Sean Garratt in the company’s pensions team; Mathew Witherwick, a specialist in pensions management consulting; Suzanne Taylor from the pensions administration team, David Govier and Joe Mohan from the investment consulting team; and Catrin Treharne, a health analytics specialist.

New chair at Rothesay
Lloyd’s of London chairman Bruce Carnegie-Brown is to succeed Naguib Kheraj as chair of Rothesay, the specialist pension insurer, from 1 July.
Carnegie-Brown has chaired Lloyd’s of London – the main insurance and reinsurance market – since 2017 and is due to step down on 30 April 2025.
He also chairs the leadership council of TheCityUK, and the boards of digital motor insurance business Cuvva and global fintech Ebury.
Carnegie-Brown has held senior executive and non-executive leadership roles at companies including Banco Santander, Moneysupermarket, Aon UK, JLT, Catlin Group and Close Brothers.
He previously worked at JP Morgan for 18 years in a number of senior positions and was managing partner of 3i Group’s quoted private equity division.
Kheraj, meanwhile, has served on Rothesay’s board since 2014 and was appointed chair in 2018. He will leave the board on 30 June having led its growth to more than £70bn in assets and more than one million members.
Zedra promotes quartet
Financial services group Zedra has promoted four members of its pensions team.
Andrea Upex has been named director of trustee executive services, while Alison Lea and John Starkie have been appointed senior client managers. Laura Watson has been promoted to client manager.

Cartwright hires Redington’s Nasri to investment team
Specialist consultancy Cartwright has appointed Arash Nasri as a senior investment consultant.
He joins from Redington, where he was a lead consultant advising wealth businesses on investment strategy.
Nasri has also previously worked at Aon and AFH Wealth Management.
